Excellent book however the Kindle version does not include the companion DVD. A large strength of this book is the DVD and the example code that it contains.

A good book as a supplement to classical treatises on GNSS but not as a self-contained textbook

A concise book for beginners who try to design a simple GNSS receiver. It provides a good introduction into GNSS signal structure and receiver channels operation. Yet it lacks some important topics and cannot serve as a complete textbook:
1. The basic principles of GNSS are not discussed which is very confusing for a beginner without any prior knowledge of the subject.
2. The book is written by several authors and thus contains many unnecessary repetitions and changes in mathematical notation.
3. The chapter about multipath is written very poorly.
4. The nature of ionospheric and tropospheric corrections is not discussed at all.
